I scheduled a routine oil change and tire rotation for my new vehicle and chose HEART specifically because the reviews were so high. They were running a special for a free tire rotation with an oil change and I didn't need to bring any coupon in to claim the deal. As expected, there were recommended services that I could add on right then and there, but they were presented in a pressure-free way and when I declined, that was the end of it. I was also provided the paperwork containing the inspection notes and pricing so I could use it to make a future decision. I chose to wait in the lobby and was out the door in a little over 30 minutes. What stood out most to me overall was how wonderful the customer service was. All of the gentlemen were very friendly and treated the customers with kindness and respect. The rates were pretty on par with what I would expect to pay nowadays, but the customer service was phenomenal. Thank you!

10/3/26 Updated review. I brought my car in again for an oil change, tire rotation, and a system check. The folks at Heart Auto in Northbrook couldn't have been nicer and competent. I like that the mechanics take pictures of everything. It makes it easy to see what looks good, what will need to be checked in the future, and what needs immediate attention. My tires were shot. A big shout out to Armando who got me a great price on new tires and gave me some great deals on other work. I will continue bringing my car to Heart Auto.I honestly never had heard of Heart Auto Care until I had to find a new car care because my long-time mechanic retired. I started with looking at reviews and proximity to where I live. Well, I have to say that after my time bringing my car in, I'm extremely impressed. Heart is an efficient, honest, and friendly place. They were very thorough with my car and explained what my car needed - and what it didn't need. I have found my new auto care place. Thank you to everyone at the Northbrook Heart Auto Care.

When I had a last minute request to have a car brought in for a pre purchase inspection, Armando was absolutely amazing to work with. Before the inspection he took time to explain the entire process, and answered all my questions. After the inspection he was thorough, transparent and honest about the condition of our potential car, highlighting the positives and concerns. We were coming from really far away to purchase the vehicle so timing was everything and they squeezed us in at the last minute. I wish we lived closer to be able to patronize them regularly! If you need an honest, good, trustworthy, CARING mechanic, you need to go to Heart! Every trip they've been honest (one time they said they can't do something specific to my car- busted steering column- and unfortunately I needed to go to the dealer.) So they're not looking to take your money; they want you to get the work done right! I've seen them handle difficult customers with calmness and respect. But their values are so humane too, which goes above and beyond any mechanic, much less any vendor. They hire special needs adults and do on the job training with patience, repetitiveness, and care. They are LGBTQ+ friendly and safe. I hope the best for this company and its employees, I hope the values never change. Good honest work with good honest people. A company that lives by their name: "Heart."

I had a sudden flat tire at 8am and by noon it was fixed. Complimentary shuttle service so I could be home with my kid while the repair was happening. The final bill was so much less than expected that it made my jaw drop. Total breath of fresh air experience for an unexpected car repair - highly recommend.

We go so far back, we're famiy! Seriously, Duxler has been my our family mechanic experts since before I was driving at 14 years old! (I'm 63).The mechanics professional manner the wonderful mechanics! So polite!!!!!Quick true story:As recently as Friday, I was in for an oil change and transmission flush.. I witnessed a customer come in being quite rude about a service he'd received. It was very early in the morning. Too early for shenanigans!!! (7 ish?) and already 80 degrees outside..The crew was calm and cool.I have a new found respect for anyone working in customer service!Ernie, Brian, Big Ben, Keisha, Dimitri, Justin and UNCLE FRANK!!!!!!! please forgive me for anyone I may have missed! My spouse made the appointment & he brought in our 2013 Toyota Prius Hybrid to have Heart Auto’s team evaluate what needed to be done: secure the undercarriage shield & perform seasonal maintenance. The work was completed as promised while my husband ate breakfast at a nearby restaurant & made his work calls.

World class Customer service is a dying art in America, but not at Heart Auto. They did phenomenal tire work for me with balancing that improved the overall vehicle performance. We love Heart Auto. They are knowledgeable, honest, and help us prioritize what work we need to do in our cars immediately (and help us decide what work can wait til further down the road). Fair prices, good work. What else can you ask for these days? I always skip the stealership because I trust this place to get the job done right, the first time and for a good price. They quickly diagnosed what was up with my car and had it fixed in less than 48 hrs. If you need a honest mechanic, do not skip this place !!!

Heart Auto completed the removal and refill of transmission oil for my 2008 Toyota Avalon which a lot of service shops won’t do. The staff made the drop off, service and pick up very easy. Excellent service report and recommendations that I know are accurate. No surprises and job done to my expectations. A++

Not really a guy who does online reviews but when service is exceptional, then a review is deserved. Heart Auto is without a doubt the best when it comes to customer service and standing behind their work. Several years ago there was a significant issue that developed with one of my cars and when I tell you that the manager Danny and the owner Brian stepped up, I mean really stepped up. At a real expense to the company they stood by me and made sure I was made whole and taken care of. Recently they did it again on warranty work for my Audi with great, expedited service, a loaner car and fresh popcorn at the waiting room. Heart Auto has a customer for life!

As my Highlander ages, and now has well over 200,000 miles, the team at Heart has consistently helped maintain my Highlander. Ben and Frank are always wonderful professionals. We drive all over the Midwest and eastern/southern states. Within the last month we have traveled extensively through Ontario, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Ben made sure that our car full of children was safe before, during, and after the drive. And Ben even talked with an owner/mechanic in Michigan when I had questions. Heart is the best!
